OnStream - Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question about OnStream then we hope it is answered here. If not, then please email feedback@rowing.org.uk and we will do our best to help.

Do you provide the same service as Freeserve or AOL?
We are a dedicated rowing hosting service and as such we don't. You need an existing Internet connection to reach us but once you have that our service is much more enhanced than the traditional services offered others.
Why is an OnStream website different?
An OnStream site has first-class support, a catchy address and access to features tailored for the needs of members. We understand what rowers want because we are rowers ourselves.
Could I not simply register myclub.co.uk and host elsewhere for the same service?
No. You will not find the same combination of facilities anywhere else, and you'll pay a lot more than you ever will for an OnStream account. Our service costs less than the price of a single domain.
Can I register a special domain with OnStream?
Yes - and for a very competitive rate. We will gladly register a domain for your website. Our prices for .uk domains are just 25 pounds per year.
What do you provide that a free service doesn't?
Reliability, security, support and advanced facilities. It costs less than 2 pounds per month to gain all of these. We will match and exceed any free service in all of these areas.
Who is behind OnStream?
You can find out about us on the About Us page.
Is OnStream affiliated to anyone?
We are entirely independent and as such we can offer you services to any rowing clubs or rowing-related organisations in the UK.
