Who is behind OnStream?

OnStream is run by some rowers who felt they could do something to help the UK rowing community. They include:

Webmaster - Jon Anderson

Jon has been rowing, coxing and coaching since 1991 and has authored various rowing web sites since discovering the Internet in 1995.

Service Provider - Arachsys Internet Services

Arachsys is a rapidly expanding ISP specialising in virtual web and mail domain hosting. Its directors are keen scullers.

OnStream is grateful to John Woffinden of Maidenhead Rowing Club, who is the webmaster of Top 100 Rowing Sites, to Rachel Quarrell for inspiration to start the site and her continued support, and to Anu Dudhia for running the UK Rowing Address list. OnStream is indebted to lzh@undernet#perl for their patient helpful assistance with our Perl scripts.

What runs OnStream?

OnStream runs on the Linux platform and the site itself is constructed using Hitop, an HTML preprocessor, making use of Perl and SSI. The site is also powered to a great extent by caffeine.

Viewing OnStream

You should experience no problems viewing OnStream with a variety of web browsers including Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Lynx and Opera. If you experience any viewing difficulties, please email the webmaster at

Suggestions, complaints and feedback

The OnStream team welcome all comments on the service they provide. They also strive to ensure that that all users observe a strict AUP prohibiting such actions as libel and display of illegal material on their websites.
